INTEGRASI NILAI-NILAI ISLAM DALAM PEMBELAJARAN KURIKULUM MERDEKA UNTUK MEMBENTUK KARAKTER RELIGIUS SISWA (STUDI DI UPTD SDN 15 JAWI-JAWI KECAMATAN BANTIMURUNG)
Abstract
Religious character education in elementary schools currently faces the challenge of remaining relevant amidst curriculum changes. The Merdeka Curriculum presents an opportunity to integrate Islamic values more flexibly; however, its practical implementation requires in-depth analysis to avoid mere formality. This study aims to describe and analyze the integration of Islamic values within the Merdeka Curriculum as an effort to shape students' religious character at UPTD SDN 15 Jawi-Jawi. The research focus includes the strategy for integrating Islamic values, the manifestation of the resulting religious character, and the mechanisms of the Merdeka Curriculum in supporting this character development. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection was conducted through participant observation of learning activities and school habits, in-depth interviews with the principal, grade VI teacher, and student representatives, as well as documentation study of teaching modules and P5 documents. Data analysis involved data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with data validity ensured through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results indicate that: (1) The integration of Islamic values is carried out holistically within the Merdeka Curriculum by embedding moral messages and tawhid values into teaching modules for general subjects, as well as through the implementation of the Strengthening Profile of Pancasila Students Project (P5) focusing on the "Faith and Piety" dimension. (2) The students' religious character is reflected in tangible behaviors such as disciplined prayer rituals, Al-Qur'an recitation before lessons, and the application of the 5S culture (greetings, friendliness, politeness, courtesy, and patience). (3) The Merdeka Curriculum shapes student character through the mechanism of teacher modeling (uswatun hasanah) and the creation of a consistent religious school ecosystem through daily habituation activities
Pendidikan karakter religius di tingkat sekolah dasar (SD) saat ini menghadapi tantangan untuk tetap relevan di tengah perubahan kurikulum. Kurikulum Merdeka hadir sebagai peluang untuk mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Islam secara lebih fleksibel, namun implementasinya di lapangan masih memerlukan analisis mendalam agar tidak terjebak pada formalitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis integrasi nilai-nilai Islam dalam pembelajaran Kurikulum Merdeka sebagai upaya pembentukan karakter religius siswa di UPTD SDN 15 Jawi-Jawi. Fokus penelitian mencakup strategi integrasi nilai Islam, wujud karakter religius yang terbentuk, serta mekanisme Kurikulum Merdeka dalam mendukung pembentukan karakter tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi partisipan, wawancara mendalam, dan studi dokumentasi terhadap modul ajar serta dokumen P5. Teknik analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, dengan keabsahan data melalui triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Integrasi nilai-nilai Islam dilakukan secara holistik melalui penyisipan pesan moral ke dalam Modul Ajar mata pelajaran umum serta pelaksanaan Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5). (2) Bentuk karakter religius siswa tercermin dalam perilaku nyata seperti disiplin ibadah, tadarus Al-Qur’an, serta penerapan budaya 5S. (3) Kurikulum Merdeka membentuk karakter siswa melalui mekanisme keteladanan guru (uswatun hasanah) dan penciptaan ekosistem sekolah religius yang konsisten.
